When water vapor freezes without first melting
Cirrus Clouds
Thin, wispy, white clouds that are made of ice crystals
Vertical Clouds
Clouds that form vertically, sometimes called thunderheads or cumulonimbus
Alto(cumulus)
Dark bottom clouds b/c little sunlight gets through. Puffy cotton balls and small
Stratus
Layered and cover the whole sky, look darker
Fog
Stratus clouds at ground level
Transpiration
When water evaporates off of plants
Rain
Liquid water that falls from clouds
Sleet
Ice falls from clouds then melts and then freezes again
Hail
When ice crystals are in a cloud and then blown by the wind and they connect to form hail
Snow
Ice crystals fall as snow if the temp. Is below freezing
Freezing Rain
Rain that falls from clouds and then freezes when it hits an object below freezing
