A

Saw the world in contrasts

  • innocence as the revolutionary devour of pre- revolution France and ‘experience’ as the age of terror that followed the French Revolution
  • contrast between innocent youth and uncorrupted pastor/ countryside nature VS corrupt and spoilt landscape of London
