Athame

Behavior that violates the standards of conduct or expectations of a group or society

For Wiccans a wedding like ceremony typically performed by a High Priest and/or a High Priestess
Handparting
A Wiccan ceremony sometimes performed to symbolize the end of a marriage of partnership

The art and science of causing change, transforming oneself as well as others
Open circle
A Wiccan gathering in which non-members of a coven can be present
Pagan
One who worships divinity other than the God of Judaism, Christianity or Islam
Pentcle
A ring or circle surrounding a five-pointed star
Poppet
A small cloth doll representing a person
Quarters
Part of a Wiccan ceremony recognizing air, fire, wind and earth
Quasi-religion
A category created by religious scholars to include organizations that may see themselves as religious but are seen as “Sort-of-religious” by others
