Analysis: Williams good decision making allowed them to win because he was an experienced leader therefore he is why they won.

Point: Godwinson lost many soldiers already
Evidence: already lost trained housecarls at battle of Stanford bridge
Analysis: Godwinson had to fight with untrained peasents whereas William had trained knights giving him an advantage. Godwinson also had exhausted soldiers who had to travel hundreds of miles to get to battle of Hastings
How did good luck mean William won?
Point: Godwinson had to deal with more invaders so was weaker
Evidence: travelled 210 miles to fight off Viking invaders as well
Analysis: gave William time to prepare and to fight an exhausted, smaller and weaker army meaning he had a great advantage from the luck of other invaders.
