  • Hitler was a brilliant public speaker - held rallies
  • The Great Depression hit Germany hard – stopped trade and people lost jobs
  • Hitler and the Nazi’s were well organized – wanted to win power through elections
  • German voters were unhappy with the Weimar government –unemployment was high.
  • Hitler gained support from worried Germans – he would fight communism which gained support from the middle and upper class.
