Allied Strength - The allies were too strong, especially once the USA joined in 1917
Failure of Rapid Victory - Germany had expected to win the war within 6 month so were not prepared
Failure of the Spring Offensive - Their last final push to win failed
Economy - Was not ready for a long war
What were 4 consequences of Germany’s defeat in WW1?
Casualties - thousands of men died in combat
Infant mortality - Very high as supplies were running so low
Influenza - A flu epidemic in 1917-18 killed thousands as the economy could not cope
Food and fuel shortages - supplies ran out in 1918 meaning people were freezing and starving to death.
