Q

What do Lymphocytes do? Why are they more specific in the way they work, compared to phagocytes?

A

They create antibodies. They work in a more specific way because where as phagocytes can engulf many different pathogens at once, lymphocytes only create antibodies for one pathogen.

Q

What do memory cells do? What is this known as?

A

They remember the pathogen and how to fight it, so they are quicker to get rid of it, so you don’t even know you have it because it’s gone before the symptoms start. This is known as immunity.
