Wheelchair Measurements:
seat height: heel to popliteal fold, +2
leg rest: heel to popliteal fossa, -2
foot plates: 2 inches from floor
seat width: posterior of buttocks while sat, +2
seat depth: posterior, lateral buttocks to popliteal fossa, -2
back seat height: buttocks to axilla, -4
ADA Regulations for Ramps:
36-48 inches wide; no more than 1-inch rise for each foot of vertical rise (length); ramps longer then 30 feet will need to change direction and may need landing area
Pressure Relief Strategies:
30-90 seconds every 15-30 minutes
push up, side to side
