measure heel to popliteal fold and add 2 inches to allow for footrest clearance
How do you confirm fit for seat height?
bottom of foot support must be at least 2 in from floor

How do you measure patient for seat depth?
measure from posterior buttock along lateral thigh to popliteal fold.
then, subtract 2 in to avoid pressure from seat to popliteal space.
How do you confirm seat depth fit?
place 2-3 fingers between the front of the seat and popliteal fold (palm horizontal to seat)

How do you measure patient for seat width?
measure from widest part of buttocks /hips/thighs and add 2 in
provide space for clothing, orthoses, or clearance of trochanters from armrest panel.

hand vertical btwn greater trochanter, hip, or thigh and the arm support panels.

18 in
How do you measure patient for back height?
measure from the chair’s seat to the axilla’s floor with user’s shoulder flexed 90 degrees and subtract 4 in
back height below inf angles of scapulae
How do you confirm back height fit?
Hand vertical, 4 fingers between the top of the back upholstery and the floor of the user’s axilla
1 finger above the back upholstery and inf angle

16-16.5 in
How do you measure patient for armrest height?
measure from chair seat to olecranon process with elbow flexed 90 degrees and add one inch
(modify if seat cushion)
How do you confirm armrest height fit?
posterior aspect of upper arm approx 4 in in front of back post
