How do you greet a homeowner who has just opened the door?

After greeting a homeowner, how do you explain who you represent?

Name the community services you want to explain to the homeowner after explaining who you represent?
Services such as: Breakfast/Lunch for Kids Elderly home-care and transportation Disaster relief from fires, floods, and ice storms Essential items and shelters Violence and abuse prevention RespectED - bullying prevention Individual house fires
Your neighbours have been super helpful, we’re hoping we can count on you too! :)
If you explained the Red Cross services and the homeowner is interested in helping/or went to get money, how should you begin the conversation?
We don’t take cash at the door.
That keeps you, me, and the donations safe!
What I’ve done with your neighbours is take down basic info for a tax receipt, however you wanna help, we just call the charity and you let them know, sounds good?
If they agree to help, how do you explain how much they should help? Also, re-explan why.
What the charity is urging each family to do is set aside something as small as $1-2 dollars a day, to help these local programs.
As you can imagine, feeding kids in school, or helping our grandparents runs through the entire year.
What can you suggest about a coin jar after mentioning the dollar amount you seek?
What I’ve suggested to some of your neighbours is setting aside a coin jar, and dropping the change into it each day. Make it a family thing - decorate a donate/give jar, or a couple swear bears ^_^
Do you think the money you put in that jar would take any food off your table?

What final words can you say to make a homeowner comfortable with agreeing to help?
It’s NOT a contract,
it’s tax deductible,
we send updates on what your generosity is achieving.
We ask that your best intention is simply to try, you can adjust the amount lower if you need to or higher if you win the lottery, and you can cancel if anything happens down the road where it’s unreasonable for you to help anymore. Can you join our front line of warriors and help us make what we do, happen?
