What are composite numbers?

A

A composite number is a natural number or a positive integer which has more than two factors.

For example, 15 has factors 1, 3, 5 and 15, hence it is a composite number.

What is a prime number?

A

a number that is divisible only by itself and 1.

(e.g. 2, 3, 5, 7, 11).

What is an odd number?

A

An odd number is a number that cannot be divided into two equal groups.

Odd numbers end in 1, 3, 5, 7, 9.

What is an even number?

A

An even number is a number that can be divided into two equal groups.

Even numbers end in 2, 4, 6, 8, and 0 regardless of how many digits they have (we know the number 5,917,624 is even because it ends in a 4!).
