Sociology
the study if groups and group interactions, societies and social interactions
Group
is any collection of at least two people who interact with some frequency & who share some sense of aligned identity
Society
a group of people who live in a defined geographical area who interact with one another and who share a common culture
micro-level
study small group and individual interactions
macro-level
looks at trends among and between large groups and societies
culture
group’s shared practices, values, and beliefs
Sociological imagination
the ability to understand how your own past relates to that of other people, as well as to history in general and societal structures in particular
