What is social psychology
How peoples behaviour is influenced by the actual, imagined or implied presence of others.
Two different definitions made by? How do they differ?
Allport 1968 and Smith and Mackie 2015
Differing by Allport mentioning the implied presence of others whereas Smith and Mackie do not
What are the three levels of analysis in humans?
Thoughts, feelings, behaviour
Social facilitation (Triplett)
Social facilitation is where people perform better when in the presence of others- developed to be only if you are skilled at the thing you are doing
Social Inhibition
Social inhibition is where people get worse at something when in the presence of others when they are not skilled at the thing they are doing
Zajonc investigated ……. The presence of …….increases….. so our dominant response arises which may be right or wrong

What is creative followership?
Creative followership is where participants are aware of what they are doing but believe they are doing the right thing (e.g. aiding science) therefore sharing the goals of the experimenter.
