What is an allele
An allele is a form/different version of a specific gene.
What are the two types of alleles?
Dominant and recessive alleles.
What is a homozygous allele?
It is when an individual has two identical allels e.g. BB, TT or even tt, bb. This is called homozygous allels
What is a hetrozygous allele
A hetrozygous allele is when an allele is Bb, Tt. It is when an individual has two different allels.
What is a genotype
A genotype describes the allels of an individual e.g Bb Tt, Ss, ss….
What is a phenotype?
