According to “Dulce et Decorum Est,” what is the tone in which the author writes? What examples can you give?
Your Answer:
He writes mournfully for the soldiers fighting.
For example when the author said: “All went lame; all blind; Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of tired, outstripped Five-Nines that dropped behind.” it sounded mournfully to me and “And watch the white eyes writhing in his face, His hanging face, like a devil’s sick of sin.”
According to "Anthem for a Doomed Youth" what provides the music for the anthem? anger of the guns rifle's firing choirs prayers
anger of the guns
rifle’s firing
According to “The Happy Warrior,” what is the description of a happy warrior? Why do you think the author describes the warrior as “happy?”
Your Answer:
In the poem, a happy warrior is one who stabs and seeks the blood of a man. I believe the author describes the warrior as happy, because is heart beats wildly with his hands clenched and he is searching for the next victim.
