Strengths of the constitution
Completely democratic- all Germans over 20 could vote
The power of the reichstag- the reichstag made all the laws and appointed government
Bill of rights- allowed all Germans freedom of speech and religion
Weaknesses of the constitution
Article 48- the president was able to pass any law in an emergency without consulting the parliament. It did not define what an emergency was so this many have been abused
Very slow to make decisions
