How did hey elect a president
They elected president every three years and it was the People’s choice
How was the reichstag fair
They made sure that political parties were allocated seats in parliament in proportion to the number of votes they got
What did the fairness mean
Everyone can have an opinion and it is a very democratic rule
What was a weakness in the way they elected a president
Article 48 could be used, this meant a president could make a bad decision without anyone’s guidance. They could turn into a dictator
What was negative about the reichstag
It encouraged extremist groups like Nazis. No one party was large enough to secure a majority. Several parties had to form a coalition which were weak and short lived
What was the negatives regarding German people
The states could be hostile to the national government and even try to overthrow it
