- Often occur while on a weight loss diet eventually lead to a breakdown of control, binge eating previous habits and weight regain (When lost weight is regained dieters blame themselves and not the method and are ready to try other quick weight loss method, which usually fail )

- Encourages or motivated the person to make healthy eating and exercise

Orlistat (Alli, Xenical) works by partially blocking fat absorption in the intestine side effect = oily stools, mal-absorption of fat soluble vitamins intended to be used in conjunction with decrease calorie diet, exercise and behavior counseling

- Approved for individuals with BMI over 40 or over 35 with diabetes or other health problems
- Must be committed to long-term dietary and other lifestyle changes and follow up care

Concerns with Bariatric Surgery
- Malabsorption surgery bypasses part of the intestines and less food is absorbed after a meal

- Weight loss regain (increasing food intake can stretch stomach)
- Excess skin where fat stores where loss (needing surgery)

- More important to focus on behavior change (Eating healthy and activity not preoccupied with number)
