What can be complications with re-feeding the underweight?

A

Diarrhoea - due to high fat content of diet
Initial weight gain could be fat and water, not protein
Re-feeding syndrome - hypokalaemia and hypophosphatemia - sudden movement of potassium and phosphorus from blood to cells.
