Affirmation(s)
A statement of fact or belief; a confirmation or ratification of a truth; and internal, intentional act that establishes a specific course of action; a state of being for the future.
Flick-back/Flick-up
To borrow the feelings from a past, positive experience and bring them into a present visualizations of affirmations.
Forethought
The ability to conceive of and foresee a possible future; unique to human beings.
Goal
A sought end result that may be actual and objective, or subjective and internal.
Good Enough
Level of behavior or performance that does not aim for excellence, but only sufficient to get by.
Persistence
To steadfastly pursue a course of action or purpose; sometimes a stubborn refusal to give up in the face of obstacles.
Resiliency
The ability to bounce back from setbacks or adversity; contains an element of persistence, in not giving up.
Self-Esteem/Self-Worth
Your personal estimate of your own value or worth.
Self-Regulation
Following an internal standard of action or behavior.
Self-Talk
The constant conversation going on inside of us, that allows us to evaluate and assess our behavior; positive or negative, it appears to have a confirming and affirming effect on establishing our self-image. Self-Talk has three components: Words, which trigger pictures, which cause emotions to be brought to the conscious mind.
