How to solve a word problem with a linear function

A

If the equation have a time and dollar and asks us about the dollars in a given time, we first subtract both times. Then, we subtract both dollars. We divide the dollars by the time. We subtract the given time we need to solve with the time that is already solved. We multiply the result of the subtraction and the divison. After we get the result, we add it to the dollars that is given in the equation.

If its not clear review Application problem with a linear function: Finding a coordinate given two points
