Who are the theorist?

Central Tenets of SFBT?
-No problem happens all the time, there are exceptions can be found and be built on.
-Focus on the possible and changeable instead of the overwhelming and intractable part.
-Client is not the problem. The problem is the problem. The problem lies in the interaction between people.
-Small changes lead to large changes.
-Client are self-expert on their life.
What are the techniques of SFBT? and describe them.
- Problem free-talk=Raise awareness within the client.
- Coping= Some problems will become a ‘fact of life’ consequently, there may not be any exceptions.
- Exceptions=Often times can be identified when the problem is not present, or is less influential in the client’s life.
How symptoms develop?
- When clients are stuck in problems and cannot see any exceptions.
- When client are focused on the past, instead of the hopeful future.
What is the role of therapist for SFBT theory?
- To believe the client is self-expert of their own life.
- Collaborative relationship.
- Identify type of relationship: Customer-type, Complainant, Visitors.
What are the Conditions Necessary for change of SFBT?
- Skilful questions allow people to utilise their resources.
- Ask “how questions” means that change can be useful.
- Effective questions focus attention on solutions.

Coping= What has helped you to cope?
What are the Addressing Diversity(解决多样性问题)?
1.May not ineffective with client who experienced trauma like abuse and neglect.
2. can minimise impact of sociocultural issues that could be contributing to the problem.
Goal of Therapy?
1.Finding exceptions to problem.
2.Shift from “problem-orientation” to “solution-focus”
3.Emphasis is on constructing solutions rather than problem solving (重点是构建解决方案而不是解决问题).
