An optimistic view of behaviour - Focuses on the individual, their feelings, experience, and understanding of themselves in order to solve problems.

A

While all individuals are different, there are similarities and personality that can be found for individuals within cultures. Additionally there are similarities across all cultures

Eg fears (such as fear of public speaking) goes across cultures as does wanting to be thought of in a positive manner
