A
iron and zinc: for growth and sexual development (absorption helped by protein intake). zinc deficiency can lead to growth retardation and sexual immaturity
calcium: for the development and achievement of >50% of bone mass, reduce risk of osteoporosis
folate: B-group vitamins to assist in releasing energy during rapid growth. particularly important for pregnant adolescents
vitamin D: from sun, supplements, fortified milk, margarine and eggs
