- Y = minor version - functional change
- Z = revision - bug-fix, security patch

- For example – a server outage
- Standard
- Low risk and often repeated, following a well-defined process, pre-approved.
- For example – adding more storage
- Normal
- Not emergency and not common and possibly risky. Needs approval.
- For example – performance improvements to a system.

- Clear conditions for rollback to be initiated
- Clear timeline for initiating rollback
- Partial or full rollback?
- What tests to perform post-rollback
- Who signs-off for post-rollback testing

- If any testing data is leftover
