- Sales promotion
- Personal selling
- Public relations
- Direct and digital marketing

the specific blend of Promotion tools that the company uses to persuasively communicate customer value and build customer relationships
The communication process:
Source, Encoding, Media, Decoding, Receiver, Response, Feedback
Encoding process:
Converting meaning into a series or signs or symbols that are meaningful to the intended receiver
Decoding process:
Coverting signs or symbols into concepts and ideas, assigns meaning
Push promotional strategy:
Mainly focusing on channel members, trying to push the products into the market
Pull promotional strategy:
Mainly focusing on end consumers. Trying to create demand for their products in the market
Online advertising through a sponsor advantages:
Control, brand equality, wide reach but low cost per person
Online advertising through a sponsor disadvantages
Impersonal and one way communication, difficult to measure effectiveness, credibility
Cognitive effect in ads:
Ads provide information and facts
Affective ads:
Ads influence attitides and emotions
Conative ads:
Ads stimulate or direct desires

coupons, bonus packs, samples, refunds
