what is resiliency
process of adapting well in face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or even significant sources of stress - such as family, relationship problems, serious health problems, or workplace and financial stressors. means “bouncing back” from diff experiences.
what is the changes to resilience that have been added
- recent conceptualization of resiliency have moved beyond the notion of just bouncing back
- includes idea of emerging even stronger than before and experiencing personal growth

includes having caring and supportive relationships within and outside the family
