Describe four (4) key areas that will be the focus of educationally relevant intervention plans
• Facilitating acquisition of information
- Accessible learning materials, instructional methods – eg highlighted instructions
• Facilitating expression of learning

• Enabling assumption of the student role
- Regulating behaviour, interacting with classmates, engaging with peers in playground activities, manipulating learning materials, social competence

- Toileting, eating, dressing for swimming
How do we gather information to inform an educationally relevant intervention plan?
• occupational focused/top down approach
• Student centred
• Assessment
- Information from range of stakeholders – e.g. School Function Assessment(SFA)
- Goal setting tools
- Information relating to general classroom engagement and participation, environment, schedules etc
What is inclusive education?
- Aims to maximize outcomes by removing barriers to learning
- Ensure all students are part of and can contribute to the school’s culture, curriculum and community
- Embraces diversity
- Based on respectful and collaborative relationships
