policies, programmes and practices that aim to reduce the harms associated with the use of psychoactive drugs in people unable or unwilling to stop. This focuses on the prevention of harm, rather than on the prevention of drug use itself and focusses on people who continue to use drugs

This model states that once you understand a person’s stage of change, you can tailor your approach and provide a health intervention that is person-centred

What are substance-induced conditions?
Caused by intoxication or withdrawal. Disorders such as bipolar, depressive disorders, anxiety, OCD, sleep disorders, delerium, psychotic disorder.
What are substance-use disorders?
Pathological pattern of behaviour related to use of substances. Such as impaired control, social imparment and risky use of substances.
