- Assessment (Perosnality test, feedbacks, assessment centers)
- provide formal education to identify high potential talent
- job experiences (enlargement, rotation, transfer, promotion, expatriation, downward moves, exchanges, sabbatical, volunteer assignments)
- interpersonal relationships (mentoring, career support, psychological support)

Psychoimetric Paradigm

Person-Job fit
- assumes people don’t change very much, jobs dont change much, job tasks have specific attributes that people can match to, slesction done by organization (one way stream)
> looking for value congruence but person-organization fit paradigm: look at organizations that match your core values (are you more competitive or collaborative)

Why care about values
A
- attract talent
- not just looking at KAOs but value congruence which has relationship with performance, organizational citizenship behaviors and turnover and performance
- strengthens culture
- authenticity at work is important for well-being and leading reason for misalignment of values
- some companies also use this as an excuse to exclude minorities

Understand organizations values
A
- look at management/board
- conversation with current employees
- ask yourself how much you care about your values, mission, brand, diversification

- get role that fits your values goals and offers learn and growth opportunities
- take on stretch assignments
- foster a network of developmental relationships
- ensure you have a good track record and credibility
- best managers are the ones who beliueve in lifelong learning
- cyclical approach: lookout for next opportunties
