What do Data Storage Devices include?
Hard Disks (HDD and SSD) Removable drives External Disks USB tumb drives CD, DVD, Blu-ray Disks
What does it mean if a storage devices stores data volatile?
It means that the data will lost when the device is disconnected from power.
What does it mean if a storage devices stores data non-volatile?
It means that the data will persist even when the device losses power.
What is the difference between locally connected and remotely connected storage devices?
Locally connected are connected directly to the PC or main device.
Remotely connected are connected indirectly normally via Wifi connections. It is stored elsewhere on the internet. E.g. the Cloud.
What reasons can we not trust evidence inherantly?
It could be corrupted
There may be interference with the data
There may be data loss
