What are top managers?

A

e.g. CEOs, managing directors and directors.

Responsible for the performance of an organisation as a whole or for one of its larger parts. they pay special attention to the external environment, are alert to potential long-term problems and opportunities and develop appropriate ways of dealing with them.

They scan the environment, create and communicate long-term vision, and ensure that strategies and performance objectives are consistent with the organisation’s purpose and mission.
