What is the cornea?
A
The clear lens/tissue in front of the eye where light passes through

What is the sclera?
A
White, vascular tunic, that covers the entirety of the eye

A
Where all the signals from the retina are received and passed into the brain where interpreted to vision.

What is the limbus?
A
The area where the cornea ends and sclera starts (dark line around iris)

Properties of the lens
A
- lens has magnification properties; role in accommodation allows eye to look at close/far distances
- lens flexible and transparent
- lens tough but gelatinous

What is the Tapteum Lucidum?
A
- Exists only in nocturnal animals.
- lies beneath retina, additional reflective layer in choroid allows animals to see in low-light
