each condition occurs equally as often in each session of the experiment
What is a quasi experiment?
IV is naturally occurring
What is an advantage of quasi?
Good for IV that would otherwise be unethical to manipulate
What is a disadvantage of quasi?
no strong conclusions about cause and effect
What is a random sample?
everyone has an equal chance to be selected into a condition
What is a stratified sample?
random selection of each sub group of the population
What is a quota sample?
50% female 50% male etc
