What makes a good figure?
A
Figure isolates the thing we care about, without being misleading.
Ask, “What do I want to say?”.
Good title (describing what the figure is representing) and subtitle (stating the observed relationship).
Clear axes labels, including what larger numbers on x and y represent.

When visualising data in a graph, should you always show the whole distribution of data to show outcome variability?
A
Yes. This allows reader to see and take into account the outcome variability, and not just the inferential statistics.
