17000 Chinese labourers came to work on the canadian pacific railway and head tax was introduced after the project and canada collected $23 million in head taxes and shut down doors for Chinese immigrants

Canada didn’t Komagata Maru people to land in Vancouver. many british immigrants were welcome to canada but not this ship.

it carried, 376 Sikh, hindu, and muslim passengers who were british subjects but were denied entry

A
