A

Let you determine panning “accuracy”

100% allows discrete panning to speakers

Below 100%, tracks will be heard in neighboring speakers even when hard panned to one speaker

What does auto glide do?

A

Lets you pan by clicking new locations in the panner grid

The panning position will glide from point to point using the auto-glide time (in the mixing prefs)

How do multi-mono plugins work in pro tools?

A

Creates a mono plugin on each track channel

A multi-mono EQ3 plugin on a 5.0 track is like 5 copies of a mono EQ3 (one for each channel)

Controls can be linked for all channels, or tailored for each channel

A multi-mono EQ3 plugin on a 5.0 track can be used to EQ the centre differently from the left or right

In the plugin menu you can set how controls are linked between channels

The channel selector shows you a specific channel’s parameters

Controls of all channels are linked with the masterlink

The link enable buttons allow you to link specific channels controls

How can we sample align with stock plugins?

A

Pro Tools comes with a stock delay plugin called Time Adjuster

Time adjuster allows for 1 sample increments starting at 4 samples

You can also use any stock delay plugins and delay by millisecond amounts
