Intentionality
A
An action is intentional if it follows a plan, even if the outcome is unexpected. A person can act intentionally even if they don’t want to but feel they must

Understanding
A
A person must have a basic understanding of their action. Full knowledge isn’t required, but factors like illness or poor communication can reduce autonomy

Noncontrol
A
The action must be free from coercion or manipulation. Influence is normal, but autonomy is lost if external pressure or internal conditions (like mental illness) take away self-control
