Derivation
= lexical word formation
- prefixation + suffixation
Prefix. classification – degree of productivity
= capacity of a word element to produce new words
e.g.: -ness (pretty productive) vs. -ledge (not v/ productive)

- scalar (not highly productive)
- variable (productivity in time and place)
