Quality standards are details of requirements, that can be used to ensure that products, services or processes meet in order to ensure they are fit for purpose.

As part of the requirements of accreditation, organisations will need to complete routine audits with someone in the organisation to track their quality management system processes.
•feedback is then collated, reviewed and managed with actions (non-conformance or recommendations/opportunities for improvement) highlighted.

Organisations will need to create and prepare a range of documentation in order to evidence that they are meeting the standard.
•This could include logs, controls, signatures, checklists, etc.

Depending on the accreditation being introduced there will be a certain number of meetings, forums and committees to be established and running within the organisation. For example, if the accreditation is for health and safety then a health and safety committee may need to be established.

•Gaining an accreditation has an associated cost, this can include initial implementation and certification, ongoing renewals, staff resources for implementing and running the standard, third-party consultancy support for implementation and guidance.
