what are the 5 types of research questions?
- DESCRIPTIVE: focuses on IDENTIFYING FACTS or patterns that exist (WHO, WHAT, WHERE)
- EXPLANATORY: focuses on PROVIDING CONTEXT around why something occurs (HOW, WHY)
- PREDICTIVE: focuses on WHAT WILL HAPPEN (WILL…)
- PRESCRIPTIVE: focuses on what we SHOULD DO in a SPECIFIC SITUATION (CAN, SHOULD…)
- NORMATIVE: focuses on what we SHOULD DO IN GENERAL (SHOULD…) ex. what is good or bad, right or wrong

public: ARTICULATING/ WRITING the question (testing theories, identifying puzzles)
