Why is potassium important?

Acts as a supplement to helps normal levels of fluid in our cells such as sodium.
- Helps muscle contration and BP

What may cause hypo/hyperkalemia?
A
Hypo: vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, bulimia, hyperhydrosis
Hyper: Kidney disease as they can’t filter potassium out
