Myotome strength assessment
Myotome
Group of muscles innervated by a single nerve root. Myotomal weakness = muscle weakness
Dermatome
Area on the skin innervated by the same nerve root.
“Dermatomal paresthesia”
Peripheral nerve injury with corresponding loss of sensation
Anatomical snuff box
Tendon- extensor policies breves, extensor policies longus, abductor policies longus
Artery- Radial
Bone- scaphoid
Nerve- superficial branch of the radial nerve
