spiral ganglion in cochlea - bipolar cells carry hearing from hair cells to cochlear nuclei in brain stem, vestibular ganglion with vestibular apparatus - bipolar cells carry balance from semicircular canals to vestibular nuclei in brain stem and cerebrellum
