Week 16 Flashcards
2 types of thrust
Net Thrust
Gross thrust
is a 1-directional force, measured in lbs or kgs that is always directed towards center of the earth, regardless of type of material involved.
Weight
Is the quantity of matter forming a body, it is independent of gravity.
Mass
Is the molecular energy of motion due to heat.
Temperature
is the omni (multi) directional force per unit area applied in a direction that is perpendicular to the surface of an object.
Pressure
What is Boyle’s Law?
Volume is inversely proportional to the pressure.
What is Charles Law?
Volume is directly proportional to temperature
is the amount of push or pull on an object
Force
Newton’s 3rd law states that?
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction
