Q

What can one do to deal with acid reflux?

A

Avoid caffeine because it’s a diuretic and takes water out of your system.
Milk will thicken the vocal folds making it difficult to speak creating hoarseness.
If you have to have caffeine, drink it alongside water.
Do not eat 3-4 hours before bed…no proteins at night.
Use lemon drops/hard candy instead of mints.
Watch the way you sleep: on the back with head propped is best.
