Explain the James-Lange theory of emotion
suggests emotions result from the body responding to an emotion inducing stimulus, this physiological response is then interpreted as an emotion.
Explain the Cannon-Bard theory of emotion
suggests both physiological and emotional responses occur simultaneously in response to emotion inducing stimulus.
Explain the Schachter-Singer theory of emotion
Modified version of James-Lange Theory. Response comes from a combination of feedback from peripheral responses and our cognitive interpretation.
