Forward Chaining
pt starts and does as much as they can, and therapist helps finish, building step by step
Backward Chaining
set up by therapist and done by therapist until the last step that the pt can complete, this continues until the pt is independent at the task
dysphagia

Educate & promote safety for pt & public. Refer to specialist. Set up/educate pt who needs AE while driving
AE for Limited ROM / Strength/THR
DRESSING - Dressing stick, front open garment, stocking aid, reachers
EATING - swivel spoon, universal cuffs, plate guards
GROOMING - handheld showerhead, long handled bath brush, long comb
COMMUNICATION - built up pens
MOBILITY - glider chair, raised toilet seat
HOME MNGMNT - utility cart, Dycen
Incoordination
DRESSING - front open garments, large buttons, elastic shoe laces
EATING - scoop dish, plate stabilizers, weighted cuffs
GROOMING - weighted cuffs, suction nailbrush, soap on rope
COMMUNICATION - headset holder, door knobs changed
MOBILITY - utility card, sliding across counter,
HME MNGMNT - easy open containers, heavy utensils, electric appliances
Hemiplegia(complete loss on one side) Hemiparesis(weakness of one side)
Dressing - one handed dressing techniques
Eating - rocker knife
Grooming - electric razors, bath tub seat, dycem
