Mid level managers responsible for bussiness units and departments

Responsible for production
What are technical skills
The ability to apply expertise and perform a special task

Ability to work well with others within the business
What are conceptual skills
Ability to see the organisation as a whole and the relationships between parts to think analytically and see the big picture
What is a crisis problem
Serious difficulty requiring immediate action
What is a non-crisis problem
Requires resolution but not immediately
What is an opportunity Problem
Strong potential for a gain
What are programmed Decisions
Decisions made in routine that are repetitive and well structured situations that have occured often enough to be developed and applied in the future
What are non-programmed decisions
Decisions made in response to a situation that is unique.
What are the 4 functions of the management
Planning, Organising, Leading, Controlling

What are programmed decisions?
Decisions that are made in routine. Situations that have occurred often enough for rules to be developed for them
