A

An informtation system is a system in which the communication process is central.

A
  • IT is not only operational support services, look at it from a holistic approach
  • There is a layer in between business operations and IT services: Information demand which links the two together.
  • IM is not only important on operational level, it should be used for strategic and tactical decisionmaking.
  • IT strategy should be alligned with business strategy
  • Tactical layer focus on the design of IT processes, information provision and IT services.
